Jamaicans had a dream Olympics this time as they won both the Gold Medals in 100 meters.

India has had its first Gold Medal ever in Olympics, tomorrow Indian Boxers will be in the fray in Boxing Quarterfinals - Akhil Kumar, Vijendar Kumar and Jitendar Kumar - all boxers from Bhiwani in India. Indian Boxing will get a big push with the boxers performance till date - irrespective of Indian Boxers win any medals or not.

Michael Phelps record of 8 Gold medals is going to stay for quite sometime - similar to Mark Spitz world record.

As expected the middle distance events are being dominated by African nations.

Another surprise was by Tunisian swimmer Oussama Mellouli in the mens 1,500-meter freestyle race

Rafal Nadal won the Olympic Gold Medal in Tennis by defeating Chilean Fernando Gonzalez

Roger Federer had some consolation when he won the Tennis double Gold

Shelly Ann Frazer from Jamaica won the womens 100 meter Gold, thus making it a grand Jamican double.
In fact the womens 100 meter was an all Jamaican affair with all the three medals - Gold, Silver and Bronze going to them.
