Vijay Kumar wins a Silver Medal in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol

India's Vijay Kumar made a great come back and came from no where to win a Silver Medal in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event, the 2nd for India at the London 2012 Olympic Games and as you know both of these medals are from Shooting competition. This came as a surprise since he was not being counted as a strong medal hope for India.

Leuris Pupo of Cuba won the Gold Medal while Feng Ding of China won the Bronze Medal.

Gagan Narang wins Olympic Bronze Medal in 10m Air Rifle Shooting Event

India's Gagan Narang wins Bronze medal in 10m Air Rifle Shooting Event at London Olympics, in the Royal Barracks Artillery Center London, Gagan performed very well to come 3rd in the qualification while his co-shooter and defending champion Abhinav Bindra missed out to qualify for the finals. Gagan continued his good form and at times he was in and out of top 3 medal contention spots. In the end he fired a decent 10.7 to stake his claim for the 3rd position.

In this way India has opened his account at London Olympics with this Bronze Medal win in shooting.
